That pool time of year

Though we still have an occasional cool day off it's mostly hot and humid now in Taipei. The good news is that with the hot weather comes clear(er) skies so no more daily rain showers (now just every other day ;-) so last weekend we tore open our new pool toys and enjoyed the sun.

After half a dozen visits to the doctor Henri was finally given the all clear early this week here at Adventist hospital. His stubborn ear infection is finally gone, though the pressure in one of his ears is still off. Not sure why there is a dental set up in the pediatricians office but we went with it.

Ali's Pics

Bubble Tea! According to Wikipedia it originated in Taiwan. I think traditional bubble tea is more of a milk tea with bits of tapioca "pearls." This one is passion fruit.

Anyone up for some chicken feet?

Quick trip to Yehliu

We took a quick half hour drive to a park with plenty of interesting rock formations - the best part for me was just seeing the ocean, again.

Visit before France

Prior to going to France we were happy to have Alison visit us from the States. She was in Bangkok on business and flew through on her way home to New York. Thanks to Alison we visited a few sights so I thought I'd post some pictures. Alison is a really great photographer so I wanted to share a few random pictures she took.

Back from Paris...

It's great to be back home but I must say this trip to Paris was the best yet. From Henri's christening (including the events surrounding it) to daily chocolate croissants to discovering new (to me) areas of Paris, this visit made leaving bittersweet. I even got to see my sister for a day and a half as an added bonus. I thought I would post one image of Henri with an iconic landmark - I have many a photo to sort through and much rest to catch up upon before doing a blog update justice. Soon...
